NOT JUST ANOTHER WRISTBAND Here is an awareness band that has been designed especially for Dialysis patient.  Designing these wristbands came about when my nephew went into kidney failure. He has fought two battles with cancer and now he is waiting to receive a kidney. He wears a "Livestrong" band on his arm, which he has not taken off since they came out as a reminder to him and others that he is a survivor. Now he wears the NO BP - IV - LABS on the other arm designated for Dialysis. He is the kind of person that won't always speak up or is busy answering question that he isn't paying attention when the medical staff go to take his blood pressure, draw labs or have any other medical procedures done with that arm. So now having this wristband on, it has stopped these procedures before occurring. It is a reminder to him as well as alerting nurses, doctors, lab techs… that this arm is off limits. This small band gives him a peace of mind and is one less thing he has to remember. We would like to see all dialyses patients have the same peace of mind. Medical professionals are trained to look for medical alert bands that relay important information. This band has proven time after time that it works.
